Unapool House Cottages, on a beautiful lochside location overlooking Loch Glencoul, are ideally situated for exploring Assynt and the whole north west of Scotland.
We have three cottages. Quinag is a conversion from an old steading and has a spacious double bedroom, living room and open plan kitchen/dining area. There is a bathroom with bath and shower. The living room enjoys outstanding views over the loch. There is a private garden at the front of the cottage. Glencoul and Glendhu cottages are purpose built in a traditional Highland style and each have one double and one single bedroom, livingroom/diningroom, kitchen and bathroom with bath and shower. The living rooms enjoy outstanding views over the loch. There is a garden and woodland area around the cottages which fronts onto the stony beach of Loch Glencoul, where there is a hide for watching seals, otters and birds.
Quinag and Glas Bheinn are within walking distance, to the north Arkle, Foinaven and Ben Stack are a short drive away and to the east lies Ben Leoid. To the south lie Ben More Assynt, Conival, Suilven, Canisp, Stac Pollaidh, Cul Mhor, Cul Beag and Ben Mhor Coigach. To the west lies the Stoer Peninsula with it's lighthouse and Old Man of Stoer sea-stack.
The surrounding area offers ideal opportunities for walking and climbing, seakayaking, sea and loch fishing, bird watching, painting, photography, nature study or just relaxing.
